In 2020 a group of waste-bashing community members were awarded a grant from the North London Waste Authority to run 6 months of workshops, swap events and how to videos, encouraging our local community to reuse rather than throw away. Themes have included swapping clothing and unwanted presents, using up leftovers for delicious recipes, how to meal plan and making Christmas decorations. We have created a website- www.wastenot.info with a whole host of links and tips to reducing our waste in Bounds Green and Bowes Park and hope for this project to have a long lasting legacy.
